Acer Landcare is Licensed and Insured with over 30 years of experience and knowledge with Residential & Commercial properties in parts of MD, VA & WV Our President, Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Kraft started his professional career in the Lawn and Landscaping Industry as a laborer pushing a mower and digging ditches in the Montgomery County Maryland, Washington, DC Metro area in 1986. Through hard work and dedication, he eventually worked his way up to Operations Manager of one of the largest most respected companies in the Potomac, Maryland and Washington, DC metro areas. He obtained his Certified Landscaping Technician certificate (CLT) and Pesticide applicator License for Turf & Ornamental. In 1998, he joined another large and respected Lawn and Landscaping company serving the Washington, DC & Baltimore, MD metro areas in addition to Hagerstown, MD as the Operations Manager in charge of 8 Maintenance Crews. He continued until 2002 when he joined one of the largest Mowing, Lawn, Landscaping and snow removal companies in the country as a Branch Manager starting a new Branch in the Baltimore, MD metro area. In 2005, he decided to start his own landscaping company called Acer Landcare Inc. Just 10 months into this journey with a strong flourishing company, Kevin was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. He suffered a broken back and a spinal cord injury that caused him to become a partial paraplegic confined to a wheelchair. Kevin learned how to walk again using full long leg braces (that he still uses) during therapy sessions. With a long recovery ahead, he contemplated whether hed ever be able to return to work or continue to operate the company. He decided to return in part-time office role rather than a Field Management or owner. He did this one year and one month after his accident. He later joined the third largest Tree, Shrub, Lawn, Landscaping, and Plant Health Care company in the country as a part-time salesperson. He went on to obtain his Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP), Maryland Tree Expert (LTE), Professional Fertilizer Applicator Licenses in addition to undergoing therapy three days a week for many years, Over the next eight years, Kevin held positions as a Sales Representative, Operations Manager, Branch Leader, and eventually Branch Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Division for Residential, Commercial and Government contracts. After gaining valuable perspectives through his years of professional and life experiences, Kevin returned to his love of owning and operating his very own Lawn, Landscaping and Snow Removal Company called Acer Landcare, LLC today!
